IN THE END

For my graduation project, I explored the theme of the biblical apocalypse—not simply as an end, but as a transition, a visual metaphor for transformation, destruction, and ultimately, hope. At the heart of the work is a scale model of the iconic Graz Clock Tower, constructed from cardboard. The model was based on a detailed technical drawing I created in AutoCAD and precisely realized using a laser cutter.

The projection mapping was carefully aligned with the structure of the model. The animations were created partly frame by frame by hand, and partly with Adobe After Effects. Apocalyptic visions—falling stars, burning skies, crumbling structures—are contrasted with moments of calm and renewal, creating a narrative of collapse and rebirth.

Sound design plays a crucial role in shaping the atmosphere. Subtle soundscapes and precise audio accents intensify the emotional impact of the visuals, building tension and giving depth to the scenes. Light and sound intertwine to form an immersive, atmospheric storytelling experience.

In total, 438 hours of work went into this project—from the first sketch to the final second of projection. It’s my most personal work to date—a fusion of architecture, technology, and symbolism, brought together to create a cohesive and immersive artistic expression.

Heaven or Hell- you choose.
